Numerical investigation of fire tests on textile-reinforced concrete elements

Abstract: 
Four fire tests have been performed on textile-reinforced concrete (TRC) sections (I-sections). The textiles were AR glass and carbon. These experiments showed that the load bearing behaviour of textile-reinforced structural components in fire greatly depends on the textile used, their bond to the concrete, and the behaviour of the concrete under high temperatures. Based on the test results numerical investigations were made using a transient threedimensional FE-model. The present paper describes the numerical analysis.
