Abstract: A systematic investigation on the bond strength of pretensioned strands was conducted including pull-out and full scale tests on the transfer length to improve the knowledge on the bond behavior of strands in SCC. It is revealed, that the bond behavior depends on the microstructure and, thus, on the composition of SCC. The bond capacity of SCC containing limestone fine aggregate is comparable to conventional concrete while the bond capacity of SCC with a high amount of fly ash is reduced by approximately 20 %.
