Abstract: The goal of this study is to analyze the FC3R utilization as mineral addition on SCC production using both white and grey Portland cements.
Prior mixings to fit the admixture proportion in each case were made. This step is necessary since the FC3R shows a size distribution finer than cement and also high water demand, which decreases the concrete workability.
Concrete behaviour in fresh, as well as in hardened state was studied. In fresh state properties as workability and passing ability were analyzed using Slump Flow test and V Funnel test.
Finally, to evaluate hardened concrete behaviour, strength test at 7, 28 and 90 days were performed on 10 cm cubic specimens. Additionally, Young’s modulus was measured at 28 days on (15 x 30) cm cylindrical specimens. In all cases, specimens were cast just dropping the concrete into the moulds and no vibration was applied.
