Abstract: The comparison of photocatalytic activity for heterogeneous gas phase oxidation of isobutene by five different commercial photocatalysts is performed in this study. Two simple methods for application of the photocatalyst on solid supports are examined at the resulting photocatalytic activity compared. In addition, influence of humidity, TiO2 load and illumination strength are undertaken. Total isobutene degradation has been demonstrated at a light intensity of 1.4 mW/cm2, 24°C, an inlet isobutene concentration of 1 - 2.7 ppm and a humidity level off 3300 ppmv.
