Abstract: This paper describes characteristics of NOx removal, physical properties and mechanical properties of cement mortar incorporating three types of Titanium Dioxide(TiO2), which are anatase phase and floury with a particle size of 7nm, the floury with a particle size of 21nm and colloidal suspensions. First, according to Japanese standards, performance of the NOx removal of TiO2 itself, the cement mortar and ductile plate incorporating TiO2 was investigated. Second, physical properties such as a mortar flow and an air content were examined by controlling dosage of a high-range water-reducing and an air-entraining agent. Relationships between the incorporating ratio of the TiO2 powders and mechanical properties such as a compressive strength, a tensile strength, a flexural strength and a modulus of elasticity of the mortars were also investigated. Finally, application of the mortars for civil structures was discussed.
