Abstract: Currently, damage assessment methods of concrete structures are highly demanded to make a repair program at proper timing as well as to elongate the structural life span. Since AE technique covers a wider range with less number of sensors than conventionally employed ones like ‘spot monitoring,’ e.g., strain gauges, the structure can be readily evaluated globally with the derived AE activity. In the paper, for various kinds of concrete structures, damagerelated indices from AE activity, that are going to be incorporated into RILEM recommendations of 212 TC-ACD, are discussed.
