Abstract: The paper summarizes effective methods developed and/or used in ITAM for study of properties of materials and structures. The non-destructive character and a visual form of the acquired and shown data is the common denominator of the presented methods. They do not study structures as a whole, but rather concentrate on a representative specimen of the surface or of the structure’s flaw size.
