Abstract: This investigation was carried out to assess and understand the hydration mechanism of high strength concrete containing PFA and SF. The hydration (CH content and nonevaporable water) was conducted using thermogravimetry analysis on cement paste incorporating PFA and SF as partial cement replacements for the preparation of various combinations of binary and ternary blended systems. A water-binder ratio of 0.27 was used throughout. The specimens were mist cured and test was conducted between 1 and 180 days.
