Abstract: The property of concrete cover is one of major factors which can guarantee the durability of concrete. In this paper the concrete cover thickness and ultrosonic pulse velocity for Li-Lake Tunnel have been measured by nondestructive testing. The results just conform to normal distribution. It also develops a conclusion that the CO2 concentration inside city tunnel is just twice or third time of that in normal air based on investigation. In addition, an optimized carbonation model has been chosen to relate the acclerating carbonation to the filed carbonating damage. Then the probabilistic carbonation service life of interior tunnel has been predicted according to the simulated linear relationship between ultrosonic pulse velocity and the accelerated carbonation depth. Finally, the tunnel could meet its designed 100 year service life, and its corresponding probability for sector a, b and c will be 82.6%, 85.31%, 90.32% respectively.
