Abstract: The dominant minerals of Ba-bearing aluminoferrite cement clinker are C2.75B1.25A1.5F1.5 S , C2S and C4AF, their optimal proportion is 55%, 25% and 20% respectively. The optimal burning temperature of Ba-bearing aluminoferrite cement clinker is 1300°C. Clinker and the hydration products are analyzed by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersion (EDS). The results indicate that the rate of hydration of calcium-barium sulfo-ferritlaluminate is fast. The hydration products are abundant, such as Ba-bearing AFt, AFm, C3AH6, CAH10, C2AH8, BaSO4 and so on. The cement has the properties of high-early compressive strength and increased later strength.
