Abstract: Visualization and representation of three dimensional (3D) pore morphologies in the cement paste are significant interest for understanding the relationship between pore structure and durability. In this study, the pore structure in two-dimensional section planes has been observed utilizing the laser scanning confocal microscopy (LSCM). The porosity and interconnected pore were analyzed. The reconstruction of 3D pore structures from serial sections enables visualization and characterization of detailed 3D morphologies and spatial correlations of the pores.
