Abstract: A new auto-logger system device of Open-circuit potential(OCP) was introduced in this paper, a method of melt-oxidation at high temperature was adopted to fabricate Ir/IrOx pH electrode, the new auto-logger and in-situ pH value monitoring system for use in cement based porous materials has been invented and tested in solution and in concrete blocks. The results show that the Ir/IrOx pH electrode have excellent sensing, which follow the Nernst law with good linearity in a pH range from 2.0 to 14.0, and have a good long-term stability in alkaline medium. The pH values of concrete pore solution measured by in-situ monitoring system is in good quantitative agreement with that determined by pore solution expression method. The In-situ monitoring system can collect the date and supply useful information to durability evaluation of reinforced concrete.
