Abstract: The use of high quality construction materials is nowadays a necessity for an efficient and durable construction strategy. High strength concrete has proved very good physicalmechanical properties [1, 2]. However, the issue of the durability of high strength concrete needs further research. This paper is focused on the corrosion of steel embedded in high strength concrete beams, with different concrete covers, loaded and then exposed to accelerated aggressive conditions.
