Abstract: The behaviour of normal concrete is well known and concrete is assumed to be fire proof.
However, new concretes emerge such as self-compacting concrete (in the US "selfconsolidating concrete"), textile-reinforced concrete, and high-strength concrete the fire behaviour of which is questionable. Therefore, test series have been carried out. It turned out that self-compacting concrete behaves the same as normal vibrated concrete, that textilereinforced concrete depends very much on the type of reinforcement, and that high-strength concrete C100/115 can be made fire proof with polypropylene fibres.
