Abstract: Building thermal insulation has a key importance in lowering the energy intensity which results in restricting the gas, soot and dust emissions with a direct influence on improvements regarding the living environment. Nowadays, these problems are especially important with respect to negative impacts of the global warming.
This paper deals with possibilities of development of silicate-based thermo-insulating plasters with very low value of density, with utilization of energetic waste material (light particles of fly ash). These plasters can be used for thermal insulation of not only new constructions but also historical buildings in combination with removing moisture. These plasters enable combining thermo-insulating and rehabilitation measures, which considerably simplifies construction works and saves costs of material.
