Abstract: 5.12 Wenchuan Earthquake not only induced large casualty, but also produced large solid waste. How to deal and use solid waste had been a problem which had the focus of researchers in China and abroad. It’s an effective method to develop green concrete, which can reduce city environment burden for cycling waste concrete. A study was carried out in order to test the practical application of recycled aggregates produced from concrete solid waste on strength and durability. It concluded that recycled concrete with calcium system expansive additive and blast furnace cement showed similar performance on strength and durability compared with ordinary concrete. Therefore, it is possible for recycled aggregate to be used as coarse aggregate in concrete.
