Abstract: The use of recycled aggregates in concrete opens a whole new range of possibilities in the re-use of materials in the building industry. The crack width of members must be controlled in order for recycled aggregates to be used as structural materials. In this paper, the crack width of beams made with recycled aggregate concrete was investigated. Based on bending experiment of twenty-seven recycled concrete beams and three natural concrete beams, comparison was made between recycled concrete beams and natural aggregate concrete beams. It is shown that the crack width of recycled concrete beams is less than that of natural aggregate concrete beams. The expression of flexural crack width of reinforced concrete beams with recycled coarse aggregates is presented by the result of experiments. The calculated values of crack width of recycled aggregate beams are in good agreement with the test values obtained by other researchers.
