Abstract: Along with a brief introduction of the recycled concrete block technology, this paper summarizes research progress of numerical simulation on mechanical properties of masonry made with concrete blocks. Followed by the presentation of experimental data available for recycled concrete block walls, the corresponding finite element model of recycled concrete block wall is established by ANSYS, and the finite element analysis is performed. Through comparing the numerical simulation results with experimental results, the wall model is modified and validated to investigate the horizontal bearing performance of recycled concrete block wall.
