Abstract:
Demolition methods and techniques range from manual demolition to the use of explosives. Manual demolition technique were frequently used e.g. after the First and Second World War in heavily bombed areas. It may still be favoured in countries were labour is cheap. Other methods to be discussed may be divided into mechanical methods, thermal cutting methods, mechanical cutting and grinding methods.
Also C&D waste processing companies have a choice of techniques at hand. Therefore, also an overview of processing techniques will be provided.
