Abstract: The former RILEM TC 152 - PMB (Performance of Bituminous Materials) initiated 1997 this test program. The program was performed and accomplished under RILEM TC 182-PEB (Performance Testing and Evaluation of bituminous Materials). Laboratories from Europe, South Africa and the US have had the task to test asphalt materials and to predict their behaviour. The samples were taken off two new constructed asphalt pavements. The two test areas were situated on motorways in Austria and Portugal. The different climatic conditions made this task more diffi-cult. The samples were slabs, which were about 550 mm long, 250 mm wide. The thickness was equivalent to the asphalt pavement. The program was described in RILEM Report - part: I, which was presented at the meeting of the TC 152 in Lisbon in 1998.
