Bad news for asphalt lovers
It seems that carbon-based chemicals are released into the atmosphere in hot summer days making roads and roofs a major source of air pollution. Asphalt researchers will have to put more effort into “cool pavement coatings” which are considered a better option to reduce the excess heat in built-up areas and emissions. More info here!
