MAAS is more than just cement and concrete

Have you seen the recently published OPEN ACCESS paper in Materials and Structures (MAAS) titled “Hygrothermal simulation of building performance: data for Scottish masonry materials”, authored by P.F.G. Banfill? It is a comprehensive analysis that categorises historic and contemporary masonry materials into 3 groups. Each group has hygrothermal properties, such as density, porosity, conductivity, permeability, and sorption, within well-defined ranges. This study will help designers working on retrofitting thermal insulation of masonry walls.
