Title: Second International Symposium on Advances in Concrete through Science and Engineering Edited by J. Marchand, B. Bissonnette, R. Gagné, M. Jolin and F. Paradis ISBN: 2-35158-003-6 e-ISBN: 2351580028 Pages: 462 Publication date: 2006 |
The Second International Symposium on Advances in Concrete Through Science and Engineering is organized in collaboration with Laval University, the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering, Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec and RILEM. The symposium is held in conjunction with the RILEM Week, which takes place for the first time in North America.
The Advances in Concrete Through Science and Engineering Symposium series is designed to provide a unique forum to highlight and discuss the most recent developments and innovations in research on cement-based systems. This conference is divided into three main areas:
- Numerical models: From microstructure to transport properties and durability
- From fresh to hardened concrete
- Recent developments in the monitoring, repair and maintenance of concrete structures.
As for the General papers, only the abstracts are printed in this book. You will find the full texts on the CD-ROM.
The call for papers has generated a lot of interest. Over 100 papers from 26 different countries were presented. In addition, the organizing committee has invited a number of international experts to deliver keynote lectures on a number of technical topics.
