The First International Symposium on Design, Performance and Use of Self-Consolidating Concrete (SCC’2005-China) was held in Changsha, May 26-28, 2005. More than 130 participants from 15 countries attended the conference, and approximately 80 papers were selected for publication in the RILEM Proceedings Pro 42.
The Second International Symposium on Design, Performance and Use of Self-Consolidating Concrete (SCC’2009-China) was held in Beijing, June 5-7, 2009. More than 150 participants from all over the world attended the conference, and 93 papers were selected for publication in the RILEM Proceedings Pro 65.
The Third International Symposium on Design, Performance and Use of Self-Consolidating Concrete (SCC’2014-China) was held in Xiamen, June 5-8, 2014. 79 papers from 21 countries and regions were selected for publication in the RILEM Proceedings Pro 93.
During the past four years, SCC developed rapidly in construction projects worldwide, particularly in China. Significant progress has been made in fundamental research and application of SCC technology, which is reflected in the Proceedings of the Fourth International Symposium on Design, Performance and Use of Self-Consolidating Concrete (SCC’2018-China).
The Organizing Committee of SCC’2018-China received over 30 papers. Many outstanding experts on SCC have been invited to make presentation and share their latest findings in this international gathering. This Conference Proceeding covers several key aspects of SCC science and technology, including raw materials selection and mix proportion design, workability, properties of hardened SCC and properties of UHPC.
We are deeply appreciative of the generous financial support of the various sponsors. Finally, we would like to thank the members of the Organizing Committee and International Technical Committee for their diligent work in bringing this conference to success!
